Step-by-step demonstration for beauty school students to pass the state board exam and get their license (cosmetology and esthetician)
Procedure: wash hands, set up SMA, drape the chair and the client, wash hands again if necessary, cleanse the skin, apply the eye pads, apply the pre-cut gauze moistened with facial oil, apply the red light for 3 minutes, break the light every 30 seconds, remove the light, wash hands, add massage cream, massage: effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, vibration, and friction (3 movements out of those 5 are mandatory, but it is better to perform all 5 movements), remove the cream with tissue mittens, tighten the pores, undrape the client and clean up.
Make sure that you have filled out the client record card and indicated that your client has dry skin. Blue light is for oily, and white is for normal; no gauze necessary.
